Margot Fonteyn

Dame Margot Fonteyn de Arias born 18th May 1919 - 21st Febuary 1991 was a ballerina based in England. She is one of the greatest known classical ballerinas of all time spending most of her career as a dancer for The Royal Ballet leading her to be named in Prima Ballerina Assoluta ( an honour for exceptional ballerinas) of the company by Queen Elizabeth the Second.

As you can see within the photograph above of Margot her hair and makeup signifies the Elizabethan era. For example her hair has been removed out of the way from her forehead making the forehead appear much more taller. The head piece also reminds us of the ones Queen Elizabeth wore in her portraits. The ones in the images above includes feathers and jewels. Jeweled head pieces were very popular within the elizabethan era and can be seen on Queen Elizabeth in a mixture of her famous portraits.
